View point of Jem Finch

When I was walking home with Scout one day after school, I decided to tell her what I found when I went back to the Radley's place. I told Scout that I found my pants, not all tangled up like I left them, but all sewned up and neatly folded on the fence. Not only this but the pants themselves were sewned up in a hurry. Like someone was expecting me to come and get them. And when I was finishing telling Scout this, we both noticed that there was a ball of twine in a hole in a oak tree. We left it there for three days and when it was still there, we decided that that anything in that tree was ours. Over time we received a lot of items from that tree. Like gum, a pocket watch, and a aluminum knife. But later on me and Scout found out that Mr.Radley put cement in the tree because it was dying. I was surprised by this because that tree looked like it was in perfect health to me.

Over the next few weeks we learned that old Mrs.Radley died but no one seemed to care much. Then the next day, I heard Scout yelling that the world was going to end, until Atticus had to explain to her that it was just snowing. Later on me and Scout made a snowman our yard. We made it look like Mr. Avery, until Atticus made us reconsider changing it to something else. So I dicided to run over to Miss Maudie's house a take her sunhat and her hedge-clippers and put them on the snowman. When she saw what I had done she started to yell at me to bring her stuff back. I don't think that she was really angry at me because she had a smile on her face when she was yelling at me. But the most shocking and terrifying thing happened later on that night. About a little after one in the morning everyone realised that Miss Maudie's house was on fire. Atticus told us to stay in front of the Radley's house until the fire was under control. It seemed like the whole town was there to help. But what really surprised me was that Boo Radley put a blanket around Scout and we didn't even notice. Thankfully no one was hurt in the fire, but Miss Maudie didn't really seemed consern about her house being burnt to the ground. I guess thats just the way she is.
